Our clients at Stormont Road had a potentially fabulous garden designed by Landscape architects Del Buono Gazerwitz. The property was a new build with a very large basement with a swimming pool and cinema room that extended under the substantial gardens. Unfortunately there were significant problems with water ingress into the property and Landscape works had not been completed. There were also problems with poor drainage under the lawns and planting beds. Bartholomew Landscaping were approach to see if they could rectify the situation.
Working closely with the clients’ surveyors careful investigations were carried out by excavating the planted areas. It was decided that the waterproofing that had been installed was failing and that it needed to be totally renewed. As it was not possible to expose the whole basement roof it was decided that a phased programme of fibre glassing separate areas was the best solution.

The Bartholomew team of project managers and skilled craftsmen carefully lifted all of the paving and planting and cleaned the areas for the fibre glassing team to apply their finishes. Each area was then inspected by the surveyors prior to the careful reinstatement of the finished garden. The water feature, walls, stairs and paving to the lightwell were also totally refurbished. A whole new drainage and irrigation was installed before the planting was completed and the lawns renewed.
The clients were so impressed with the quality of the finish of the completed rear garden that they decided to refurbish the front gardens to the same high standards.
