Kingfisher House, Juniper Drive, Battersea Reach, London, SW18 1TXWe were approached as landscape architects and garden designers for a Penthouse Terrace on a recently completed new build apartment block near Hampstead Heath, London. We worked very closely with the client, who had used our services for a previous apartment, to create an exterior space that could be accessible throughout the year. The living rooms of the apartment had been completed and decorated to extremely high standards and the clients required that their exterior space should be as well designed and unique as the interior.

A comfortable seating area for entertaining, as well as a family dining table and an outdoor kitchen with bbq with the ability to fry food outside, were the main priorities.
Having created a detailed 3d computer model and virtual movie tour of the exciting proposals the clients agreed to appoint us to install the project. There were several logistical challenges; the main one being access to the 7th story terrace.
The finished terrace includes bespoke aluminium canopies by the Italian company Pratic with retractable roofs and sides for full Weather protection – Inc. all associated screens, fixings, automation, heating and lighting; plus wind, snow, light & temp sensors to ensure that the canopies cannot be damaged during adverse weather conditions.

The whole system is all controlled remotely, including the heaters mounted above the main elements. The terrace can now be enjoyed, virtually, all year round.
A fabulous kitchen was essential for the demanding clients who are fabulous cooks and we designed and installed a beautiful stainless steel bespoke unit with all the latest technology including gas BBQ and outdoor hobs, Twin sink with Quooker hot and cold water, Fridge and ample storage.
The whole terrace had a new lighting system connected to the properties Lutron system. A green wall was mounted on the side of an intrusive service duct and irrigation and wiring discreetly located under the new flamed finish Gris Catalan stone slabs and composite decking.
